Having shot a Christmas Wedding before, I was really excited about this one too - set at the Devonshire Arms near Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire. A picturesque location, with the hotel providing all the warmth and character you could want at this festive time of year.

I first met Kelda and Phil when I did a family shoot for them, along with little Phoebe and was delighted when they asked if I'd photograph their wedding. A time of year for the family to all come together, it was made extra special as Kelda also found out she was pregnant too (and since the wedding, little Maxwell has arrived to complete the family).

When I arrived, the ground was frosty, but it was warm inside with a roaring fire in the entrance. The tree and hotel were all trimmed up - it really got you in the festive spirit and we didn't let a bit of cold or rain spoil the day - in fact the mist later on just added a little something special to the images.
